Nylatron GS

Nylatron GS (grey-black) material is stiffer, harder and
dimensionally more stable than extruded nylon 66 but results
in some loss of impact strength. However, bearing and wear
properties are enhanced. Availability Plates: Thickness
8-50mm, Rod: Diameter 10-50mm.

Common Uses for Nylatron GS

Replacing Metal Gears with Nylon (Ertalon) and Nylatron

Metal gears create noise, wear mating parts and require lubrication.
Gears machined from Ertalon / Nylatron nylons can solve the problems of
metal gears. Nylon gears can reduce noise, eliminate the need for
lubrication and act as a sacrifical link in a system, thus saving
destruction of other costly components.
