Common Uses for Sign and Display
Sign and display plastics are particularly suited to internal and external
signs. Materials such as Perspex acrylic sheets, aluminium composite sheets
and High Impact Polystyrene sheets are all suitable for sign making. Display
plastics such as brochure holders, Perspex acrylic sheets and sign
trims/profiles are suited to point of sale and point of purchase displays.
ABS sheet or Acrylonite Butadiene Styrene has good impact resistance down
to low tempertures. Ideal for making prototypes because ABS sheet is
easily process with great thermoforming properties, capable of a deep draw
and maintaining a good definition. ABS modified grades are available to
increase UV resistance or to improve its fire rating.
Carbon Fibre ABS contains a top layer of clear carbon fibre film
laminated onto the surface for its hi-tech appearance which is
thermoformable. This gives the sheet a superior shiny appearance, improved
scratch resistance and excellent weatherability. Carbon fibre ABS has the
same thermoforming properties as standard ABS.
Acrylic Capped ABS is also a co-extruded sheet with a top layer of clear
acrylic. This gives the sheet a superior shiny appearance, improved
scratch resistance and excellent weatherability too. Acrylic capped ABS
also has the same easy thermoforming properties as standard ABS sheet.
Regen ABS or reprocessed ABS offers an economic alternative for many vacuum
forming and industrial applications. It's easily processed and is capable
for deep draw and maintaining good definition for your forming
appilcations.
ABS sheets are available in Pinseal embossed, Smooth, Carbon Fibre Effect,
Leathergrain and Acrylic Capped finishes. This great material for vacuum
forming can be sawed, routed, glued and heat formed.
